Marie Poole, 84

Uncasville, CT -Marie Poole, 84, passed unexpectedly Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Orchard Grove Nursing Home in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Raised in Lansingburgh, Marie was daughter of the late Harold A. Wilson Sr. and Maude Barber Wilson and wife of the late Robert W. Poole. After marrying Bob they traveled together with the Navy to San Diego, Great Lakes, & Philadelphia. They finally settled in Defreestville, where they lived for over 35 years and celebrated 51 years of marriage before Bobs passing in 2001. Marie moved closer to her son, Bob Jr. in Lisbon, CT in 2008.

Marie was a loving wife, mother and tireless care giver for her family.

She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and Child's Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Poole was a LPN at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush, NY for 18 years retiring in 1983. Prior to that she worked at the County Tuberculosis Hospital in Great Lakes and Balboa Hospital in San Diego.

Survivors include a son, Robert W. Jr. & his wife Martha Poole, Lisbon, CT; two grandchildren, David Poole & Heather Lopes and their spouses, also from Lisbon, CT; sister-in-laws, Anita McCabe & Kay Wilson, and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by all her siblings Harold Wilson Jr., Francis Wood, Donald Wilson, James Wilson (Marie's twin) and Carl Wilson.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy, NY on Friday from 11 AM - 12 Noon with a funeral service to follow.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Marie Poole to the charity of one's choice.
