Margaret Noble Thieringer, 104

Plainville, CT-Margaret Noble Thieringer, 104, formerly of Sycaway and Menands died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Plainville Convalescent Home in Plainville.

Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Charles Noble and Mary (Ford) Noble and wife of the late Herman Thieringer. She was educated at Watervliet Schools and a 1918 graduate of Watervliet High School.

She had resided in Sycaway area of Troy for many years and later Dutch Village in Menands for 18 years before taking up residency with her son James in Plainville, Connecticut.

Mrs. Thieringer was employed as a cashier for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Albany for many years and later for 11 years in statistics and draft data for the Selective Service System, retiring in 1973.

She was an active communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy and a member of the Taconic Lake Association in Grafton where her family summered for many years.

She is survived by two sons, A. Robert Thieringer of Saddle River, NJ and James R. Thieringer (Donna) of Plainville, CT; five grandchildren, Eric S. Thieringer of Long Valley, NJ, and James, Peter, Scott and Susan Thieringer of CT and three great grandchildren Raechyl, Adam and Scarlet Thieringer. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Irving Noble and two sisters Helen Wellington and Martha Noble.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 12 noon at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel of Oakwood Cemetery in Troy. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
