Mabel H. Parks DeWitt, excellent grandmother, 81 East Greenbush Mabel H. Parks DeWitt, excellent grandmother, 81, of Troy Road, died Tuesday at Rosewood Gardens East Greenbush, after a long illness. Born in White Sulphur Springs, NY she was daughter of the late George and Zelma Mills Parks and wife of the late Arthur B. DeWitt. She had resided the past 10 years in the North Greenbush area. Mabel was an excellent grandmother. She was a member of the White Sulfur Springs Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Cooperative Extension, the Night Lighters and the Senior Citizens all in White Sulfur Springs. Survivors include a son George Arthur DeWitt and wife Sue of White Sulfur Springs; a daughter Betty E. Coleman of Wynantskill; five grandchildren Tedi Dawn Coleman and husband Jim Foley of Albany, Kacey Beth Hennings and husband Michael of Plymouth, MA, Trishia Kinney and husband Jesse of Hurleyville, Shandi Raina Coleman of Nantucket and Matthew DeWitt of White Sulfur Springs and 5 great grandchildren Jeremy, Devin and Jessica Kinney, Shea Coleman Foley and Mitchell Hennings. She was predeceased by 3 brothers. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at the White Sulfur Springs United Methodist Church in White Sulfur Springs, NY, where the fire company ladies auxiliary will conduct services. A reception will follow at the fire hall. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made in memory of Mabel to the Janet Fitzgerald, Activity Department, Rosewood Gardens 284 Troy Road Rensselaer, NY 12144. Arrangements by DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc.
