Linda Marie Sour, 62

Burden Lake - Linda Marie Sour, 62, of First Dyke Road Averill Park died quietly Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Lee, MA, she was daughter of Bertha Loker Sour of Burden Lake and the late Joseph T. Sour. She had resided in Averill Park most of her life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School and earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Russell Sage College.

Linda was a Senior Judication Clerk for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for 25 years retiring in 2010. She also taught special needs children.

She was a member of Loudonville Community Church, Poestenkill Home Bureau and loved animals, traveling, reading and crafts.

Survivors in addition to her mother include a brother, Joby N. (Maria) Sour, Guilderland; an aunt, Elsie M. Loker, Averill Park; an uncle, Lawrence L. Loker, Blue Springs, MO; a niece, Kara E. Sour and a nephew, Christopher J. Sour.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Wednesday from 4- 7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 PM at the Loudonville Community 374 Loudon Road Loudonville with Carl Noakes, Director of Congregational Care, officiating.

Interment will be in Berlin Community Cemetery Berlin, NY.
