Lillian Beach VanDenburg, 72

East Greenbush - Lillian Beach VanDenburg, 72,of North Schodack Road, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Masonville, NY, she was the daughter of the late George Beach and Norma (Eckerson) Beach Horstmann and wife for 52 years of Howard R. VanDenburg.

She was raised at Lake George, resided in East Greenbush for the past 52 years and was a graduate of Lake George High School.

Mrs. VanDenburg gave up her career at Dunn and Bradstreet to become a devoted wife and mother.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, cooking, nature, animals and going for walks.

Survivors in additon to her husband include a daughter, Debra Doody (Peter) of Emerald Isle, NC; a son, Ronald VanDenburg (Toni) of Wynantskill; five grandchildren, Rebecca Flick (Michael) and Joseph, Zachary, Alana and Jeramy VanDenburg; three great grandchildren, Katelynn, Peter and Ruthann Flick; a sister, Marilyn Sica; a brother, Rev. Edward Horstmann Jr. , her beloved cat, Sally and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Gary Horstmann.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route150 West Sand Lake with Rev. Edward Horstmann Jr., Lillian's brother, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-6 PM.

Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in East Schodack. A special thank you goes to Drs. William Fischer and Leslie Goldstein for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. VanDenburg to the National Kidney Foundation of Northeast NY 99 Troy Road East Greenbush, NY 12061.
