Leonard F. Geiser, 80

Brunswick - Leonard F. Geiser, 80, of Patton Road, died suddenly Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Victor Geiser and Wilhemina (Knauer) Geiser and husband for 60 years of Lois Patton Geiser.

He was raised in Green Island and resided most of his life in Troy and Brunswick and attended Green Island Schools.

Mr. Geiser was employed in the maintenance department of Bendix Friction Materials for 45 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy and was active in the Bendix Bowling League. Upon retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and family dinners. His motto was 'don't be late for Christmas breakfast'. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Donna L. Tironi of Mechanicville; a son, Wayne F. Geiser (Kathleen) of West Sand Lake; two grandchildren, Annette Byrnes (Michael) and Nicole Neary (Brian); five great grandchildren, Blaine and Zoe Neary and Mikaela, Ian and Madalyn Byrnes and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Marie Geiser, Josephine Golden, Alma Neason and Rita Geiser and two brothers, Victor and Lawrence Geiser.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gary Mercure, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, April 9, 2007 from 4-8 PM.

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
