Leilani T. (Sheehy) Liebener

Troy - Leilani T. Sheehy Liebener, 75, of Parmenter Avenue died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness, with a roomful of her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Frank Sheehy and Mary Bracken Sheehy and wife of the late Donn P.  Liebener Sr. She was a life long resident of Troy and attended Troy schools. 

Leilani was employed as a Court Clerk for Rensselaer County Court. Prior to that she worked for the Norton Company in Watervliet, was a Troy City School crossing guard and worked at the Van Rensselaer Manor and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and an avid NY Yankee fan, but most importantly her family was her life. 
                        
Survivors include her children, Philip W. (Julianne) Liebener Sr., Averill Park, Lori Elligott (Frank Bleakley), Clifton Park and Donn P.  (Tina) Liebener, Troy; 7 grandchildren, Philip W. Liebener Jr., Bret F. Elligott, Donn P. Liebener III, Melissa-Jo Roy, Charles J. Liebener, Bryan J. Liebener and Devan N. Liebener; 5 great grandchildren, Ayden Berry, Ava and Gavin Elligott, Brooklynn Liebener, and Jase Roy; her siblings,  Patricia (Thomas) Doran, North Greenbush, Barbara Collett, Watervliet, Anne (Robert) Fredette, Troy and Bryan (Laurel) Sheehy, Cohoes; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane and Raymond Lammon, Troy and several cherished nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Sheehy, Mary Anne Littlejohn and Colleen Sheehy. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Samaritan Hospital and Van Rensselaer Manor for their loving care and to Drs. Sulzman and Dadekian.    

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church Pawling Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in  St. Jean's Cemetery Troy.
