North Greenbush - Keith R. Merrifield, 75, of Mammoth Spring Road died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his residence of a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, he was son of the late Ray H. Merrifield and Mary Miller Merrifield and husband for 53 years of Ann Marie Sager Merrifield. He was raised in Guilderland and resided in North Greenbush for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Guilderland High School.
Keith was a traveling operator for Niagara Mohawk from 1966-99 and a member of the 25 Year Club of Niagara Mohawk.
He also was a member of the Mohawk Antique Car Club and enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars. His 1936 Ford was used in the movie “Ironweed” and Keith was an extra in this movie.
Survivors, in addition to his wife include a son, Kevin (Dr. Channon Moon) Merrifield, of Schenectady, six grandchildren, Michaela, Maya, Aaron, Terra, Elijah and Tovah and a great grandson, Abel.
Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 3-5 PM with a service to follow at 5PM.
