Kathryn Michele (Killay) Booker, 55

Averill Park Kathryn Michele (Killay) Booker, 55, formerly of 124 Franklin Street Greenfield, MA , after a courageous two year battle with cancer, succumbed peacefully at home on March 23, 2003.

Born 9 November 1947 in Greenfield, MA, she was daughter of the late Robert W. and Barbara M. (McCaffrey) Killay and beloved wife of David E. Booker. Living most of her life in Greenfield, MA, she moved to Averill Park, NY in 1993. and was educated at Holy Trinity School and Greenfield (MA) High School she also attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Mrs. Booker was a manager in the Client Relations Department of the Phoenix Life Insurance Company in Greenfield, MA and later East Greenbush, NY. In June of 2003 she retired after 25 years of employment.

In addition to her beloved husband, she was the loving mother of Michele Jarvis of Averill Park, Sharon E. Oates of Greenfield, MA and Stephen W. Oates of Stratham, NH and grandmother of Casey J. Jarvis of Averill Park. She is survived by a brother Robert T. Killay (Carol Drew) of Gilford, VT and two sisters Margaret Doran (Paul) and Mary B. Killay of Greenfield, MA and 13 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Barbara Lavin (James) of Greenfield, MA.

Local calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-8pm at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake.

Calling hours in Massachusetts will be on Friday from 5-8pm from Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield, MA. Funeral service on Saturday at 9:15am from Kostanski Funeral Home and at 10:00am from Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment by the family at a future date.
