So sorry for your loss, but knowing she's in a better place (with you dad) will make it more bearable. My mother, Barbara, is 85, and in declining health, so I feel for you all. May God Bless all of you as you carry on your parent's legacies.

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I remember many days spent at your house while my mom, Bea Danks, Mim Debus and your mom sewed costumes. We had many good times. The four of them are are sewing together again.

Our loss is heaven's gain! Your mother was an inspiration to me. I admired the wonderful qualities that made her such a special person. She had intelligence, wit, charm and such a kind and caring heart.

Oh how she loved her children and the stories she told were priceless! I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know her, to listen to her stories and experiences. I will cherish her memory for years to come.

I hope to get to the wake but I think my father-in-law is being admitted to hospital this afternoon . I am so sorry for your loss and I have such fond memories of our times at Glass lake over the years when we were young . Not to mention our Cape Vincent experiences. I forget who was on the bike who got hit by a truck :-)..Sounds like you are all doing well and know I have you in my thoughts and prayers.

She'll never know what she meant to so many. Kitty always stood by her word & was a force of nature. She always seemed to know without conflict what the right thing to do was. Her tenacity was legendary. Quiet words of encouragement were mine for the listening; she'd lean in & say exactly what I needed to hear. I imagine she did that to a lot of folks.. So sorry for the loss of your beloved...so many of us will miss her too...

My heart hurt when I learned that Kitty had passed. We miss her so much at Coburg Village and think of her often. She was always so enjoyable to talk to and was always concerned about others. Mary Ellen - you gave your Mom the very best and you allowed her to spend many extra months at Coburg that she would not have been capable of on her own. I know that Eve and Rita miss her so very much too. I'll always remember when Coburg celebrated Nurses Day and your Mom had her full nursing uniform - complete with navy blue cape and white hat. How striking! What an amazing Mom you had. She was very special. My condolences to her large, wonderful family.

Kitty was maybe the classiest women on the face of the earth. Always looked like a million dollars, always knew what she was talking about, and never suffered fools easily. As a newer friend of Bill W., I wanted to grow up to be Kitty. She broadened the worlds of so many of us. Taught us about the importance of our traditions and the wisdom of the organization's structure. Oh, and damn she always was a ton of fun. God bless her family. Thank you for sharing her with us.

With much sorrow I am sad to see Kitty leave this life, but I also know she lived a wonderful fulfilling life and was an amazing woman whom was such a fine example to me and many others who follow in her path. My heart goes out to Mary Ellen and her family. She will be missed, but the memory of her will be shared on to others fondly.
