Julie Marie Bishop, 30 Sand Lake Julie Marie Bishop, 30, of Taborton Road, died suddenly Sunday at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home. Born in Albany, she was the adored daughter of Joan Sheehan Bishop and Michael Stoffels of Sand Lake and Thomas and Sandra Bishop of Nassau. She was a graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush. Julie held several positions a Albany Medical Center during the past few years and recently devoted most of her time to volunteering for the Oley Foundation and enjoying life's simple pleasures with her precious daughter, Guiliana. She was the loving and devoted mother of 'the light of her life', Guiliana Valenti; cherished sister of John and Stefanie Bishop of Niskayuna and Kimberly and Greg Butler of Castleton; Step sister of Jennifer, Michael and Julie Stoffels and Clark Baker. She was also the wonderful granddaughter of Margaret Bishop of Nassau; adored niece of Vincent Sheehan of East Greenbush and her two darling nephews Anthony and Nicholas Butler and a precious niece Kiley Rose Bishop. She also leaves behind a devoted companion, David Dunavin. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:30am from St. Henry's Church in Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Wednesday from 5-8pm. Interment Greenbush Cemetery in East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Guiliana Valenti Trust Fund c/o Key Bank PO Box 424 West Sand Lake, NY 12196 or the Oley Foundation 214 Hun Albany Medical Center Albany, NY 12208.
