Troy - Julia A. LeLoup Cannon, 95, of Burdett Avenue died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was daughter of the late Louis LeLoup and Eugenia Rall LeLoup and wife of the late W. Francis Cannon. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and Troy Business College.
Mrs. Cannon was a secretary for Dr. Thomas Engster, MD in Brunswick for 16 years, retiring in 1976.
She was a volunteer with Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary and Rubin Dialysis in Troy for many years.
Survivors include her son, William F. (Suzanne) Cannon, Reston, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Steven E.) Lefton and Elizabeth Cannon; 3 great grandchildren; her good friend, Sherwood Davies, Troy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Theodore and Robert LeLoup.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday from 9-10am prior to the service at 10am with Rev. Stephen Cordes , Pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
