BRUNSWICK -- Joyce Ann Schumann Hydorn, 63, of Miller Avenue died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City after a lengthy illness.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Lester Schumann and Audna (Wagar) Schumann and beloved wife of Robert S. Hydorn for 38 years.
She resided in Brunswick all her life and was educated at George Washington School. She graduated from Troy High School in 1962 and attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
Joyce worked at Troy Savings Bank for more than 20 years in a variety of positions and locations. She was previously employed at Morwhite, Inc., in Albany and The State Bank of Albany, where she was a teller at the main branch.
A member of the Troy High Class of '62 reunion committee, she was also active with the Oley Foundation at the Albany Medical Center. Joyce enjoyed attending college hockey games, socializing with her friends and cross-stitch. She also loved animals, especially her cats, and spending time with her family.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include; her son, Robert J. Hydorn of Troy; her sister, Barbara (Ronald) Ives of Venice, Fla; her cousin and dear friend, Warren Rymiller of Brunswick; and several other cousins and close friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
