Josephine Calordino Pelton , 81

Wynantskill Josephine Calordino Pelton , 81 ,of Hidley Road Extension died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Ravena, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Calordino and Mary (Molello) Calordino and wife of the late John W. Pelton.

She had resided in Ravena for 7 years, Albany for 30 years and in the West Sand Lake and Wynantskill areas for many years and attended Albany schools .

Mrs.Pelton was a homemaker.

She was a life member of the Shehey-Palmer VFW Ladies Auxiliary Albany, a member of the Polish American Club in Albany and a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. She was a pitcher for the Twin Town Little League Farm League and was the only girl on an all boys basketball league at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albany.

She is survived a son, John M. Pelton (Alice) of West Sand Lake; a daughter, JoAnne Stockholm of Wynantskill; four grandchildren, Seth W. Stockholm Jr., Captain Bethany J. Stockholm MD and Kara A. and Dana L. Pelton; a great granddaughter, Sidney Love Sweeney and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Anna Nagle, Frances Pape and Sylvester, Alfred, Hopple, Herman and Molly Calordino.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 8:30 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake and at 9:00 AM at from St. Jude the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Clark, Pastor. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
