Joseph A. Mazzariello

Troy - Joseph A. Mazzariello, 64, of Humiston Avenue died suddenly Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
 
Joe was born in Cervinara, Avellino, Italy, he was son of the late Giovanni Mazzariello and Immacolata Concetta Carbone Mazzariello and devoted husband for 40 years to his best friend and love of his life, Antonietta  DiPalma Mazzariello. He immigrated to the United States in 1956 with his parents and had resided in Troy for the majority of his life. He was a graduate of LaSalle Institute, class of 1970 and Siena College, class of 1974. 
 
Joe was a dedicated servant to the people of the City of Troy for nearly 40 years in various capacities, most recently as Deputy Comptroller. He thoroughly enjoyed working and supporting the city, his work-ethic was unparalleled. He was set to officially retire on Monday June 27, 2016.  He was a lifelong active member of the Italian Community Center taking great pride in serving his community through various fund raising endeavors.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing bocce and having Sunday dinners with his family.    
 
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, John A. (Jennifer) Mazzariello, Concettina (Kevin) Graber, and Joseph F. (Chelsea) Mazzariello, all of Troy, his grandchildren, Sophia, John, Joseph and a grandchild due in October; a sister, Francesca (Larry) Mazzariello, Troy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mina (Mauro Lucidone) DiPalma, Enrico (Lynn) DiPalma and Fiorino (Mary) DiPalma.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, in addition to relatives from Canada and Italy and his best friends he could always count on, Nick and Fran Casale and so many others. 
 
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4-7 PM. 
 
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 9 AM at the funeral home and at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
 
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family simply requests for you to reach over to your family members, give them a big hug, kiss and tell them you love them.
