Joseph A. 'Jay' Fleszar, 61

Troy - Joseph A. 'Jay' Fleszar, 61,of Cedar Park Apartments died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 after being stricken by an automobile on Hoosick Street in Troy.

Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Joseph Fleszar and Mary (Dessingue) Fleszar.

He was raised in Cohoes for 18 years and resided in Troy for most of his life. He was a graduate of Kevney Academy and earned his Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the State University of New York in Albany in 1971.

Jay was a substitute teacher for the Troy City School District, worked on the grounds at Cedar Park Apartments in Troy and formerly for Janitronics.

He had great interest in classical music and arts and literature.

He is survived by a brother, Mark F. Fleszar and his wife Susan of Troy and two nieces, Aubrey and Sara Fleszar. He was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Fleszar.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating.
