Cathy and Dan - I read the TU obituaries every day since we moved to California. If you remember, I lived on the bottom floor of your Mom and Dad's apartment building for over 5 years. We had our son Dino at that time. He is now 30. As I was looking at today's obituaries, for some reason your Mom came into my thoughts. I decided to check to see if she had died or not. I didn't see the obituary for her death because I was in the hospital for 10 day recovering from surgery. I'm sorry to hear of your loss but now Mom and Dad are together again after a long separation. They meant so much to me and my husband, Lino. My condolences also go to the extended family of Joan. I'm very sad today to learn about this and she will surely be missed by many people. Love to your families, Joan

Cathy, Sorry to hear the loss of your Mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mary Ellen Fremgen Reno Nv .
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Joan was a wonderful woman and a wonderful Mom. I remember "twin dresses", many kittens and cats, Cossayuna Lake, backyard barbecues and lots of laughter. I will miss Joanie my "Second Mom" and May She Rest in Peace right next to El Bobbo in God's Loving Arms.
