JoAnn (Burns) Worsham

Schenectady - JoAnn Burns Worsham, 79, of Thompson Street died Saturday,  December 24, 2016, at Ellis Hospital   after a brief illness.

Born in Mangum, OK, she was daughter of the late Erby Burns and Jessie Thompson Burns and wife for 61 years of Pastor Jesse C. Worsham. She had resided in West Sand Lake for 26 years and in Schenectady for several years and was a graduate of Altus High School in Altus, OK . 

She was a devoted mother and wife. Helped her husband in his ministry and worked for 3 years in the Liberty Christian School in West Sand Lake.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Deborah J. Ernest, Schenectady and Mary B. (Everett) Seifridsberger, Pittstown; a son, Pastor David L. Worsham, Elk City, OK; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by two brothers,  R.D. Patton and Darrell Burns; a daughter-in-love, Janie Worsham and a son-in-love, Rodney Ernest.

Relatives and friends may call at the Lighthouse Baptist Church  2919 West Lydius Street Schenectady on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9-10AM with a service to follow at 10AM with Pastor John Horn and Pastor David L. Worsham, her son, officiating.

Interment will be in  Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
