Jeffery 'AJ' H. McPherson, 55

Troy - Jeffery 'AJ' H. McPherson, 55, of Fourth Street died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was son of Delphine Belenger McPherson of Brooklyn and the late Charles McPherson Sr. He had resided in Troy for 30 years and traveled for many years.

Mr. McPherson was a cook at the First Baptist Church soup kitchen to feed the people of Troy, as well, he worked many jobs around Troy- always with a focus on "his people".

He enjoyed movies, music, traveling ,working with people, was a real Renaissance man, every guys and girls best friend.

Survivors in addition to his mother include seven brothers and sisters, Charles (Toni) McPherson Jr., Anthony, Richard (Maureen), Christopher and Alphonso McPherson, Monica (Robert) Damon and Patricia McPherson; a daughter, Rasheema McPherson and grandson and numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews and friends. He is also survived by his special friends, Rebecca Pico, John Anthony Rodriguez and Estrella Rosado.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 10-11 AM with a service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Douglas Thomson.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Jeffery H. McPherson to the First Baptist Church 82 Third Street Troy, NY 12180 .
