Janet (McDonald) Matusie

Troy - Janet McDonald Matusie, 86, formerly of O'Neil Street died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Van Rensselaer Manor.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Joseph McDonald and Mildred McOmber McDonald and wife of the late Arthur L.  Matusie. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. 

Janet was a clerk for National Grid for 28 years retiring in 1987.      

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in South Troy.    

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Deborah Matusie, NC; a sister-in-law, Dolores McDonald, Rensselaer; several nieces and nephews, Kim (John) Zurlo, Kristine (Mike) Newman, Brian (Lisa)  and Todd (Lisa) McDonald and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two step-sons, Arthur and Thomas Matusie and a brother, John J. McDonald.

Relatives and friends may call at the St. Joseph's Church  416 Third Street Troy on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9-10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10AM.

Interment will be in  St. Joseph's Cemetery Troy.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Van Rensselaer Manor for their loving care of Janet.
