Jane H. Bott Wittman , 82

Poestenkill Jane H. Bott Wittman , 82 ,of Poestenkill, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edward Bott and Edith Grey Bott. and wife of Frank E. Wittman Sr.

She was raised and resided most of her life in Poestenkill and was educated at Troy High School.

Mrs. Wittman was a homemaker and mother. Her greatest joy of her life was raising her children.

She was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill for 68 years and a member of its choir and was active in the Poestenkill Republican Club and worked many hours 'behind the scenes' while her husband was in office.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Judith Ann (Dr. George) Prior of Pottstown, PA and Linda J. (Clarence) Williams of Allentown, PA; a son, Frank E. (Carol) Wittman Jr. of Poestenkill; five grandchildren, Susan (Daniel) Reed, David (Melissa) Prior, Mark (Hetti) Prior, Lisa (Keith) Fisher and Michael (Ann) Williams and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Edison K. Bott and a sister, Marjorie A. Abbott.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 am from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill NY Route 351 Poestenkill with Rev. Stephen Cordes, Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Sunday from 4-7 pm. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery.
