Jane Bussey Rice, 84

Argyle, NY- Jane Bussey Rice, 84, formerly of Troy, died Monday December 31, 2001 at Pleasant Valley Infirmary Argyle, NY after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late James Nichols and Helene Bord Bussey and wife of Ronald Rice. She had resided in Troy most of her life.

Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and worked at the Cerebral Palsy Center for several years.

She was a member of the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, Junior League of Troy and the Country Club of Troy and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and St.William's Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a nephew Harry Lee (Brud) Deas III and wife Jean of Portsmouth, NH; two nieces Diane Deas O'Connor of Troy and Leigh Deas Keeley of Ithaca and 2 great nephews and a great niece. She was predeceased by a sister Helene Bussey Deas.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 9:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 9:30am from Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
