James McGeough

James McGeough, 63

Troy- James McGeough, 63,of Adams Street Troy, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at The Springs Nursing & Rehab Center in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Margaret M. Looney and John A. McGeough.

He was raised and resided in Albany most of his life and in Troy for the past several years and was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy.

Mr. McGeough was a mailroom clerk for the New York State Department of Mental Health in Albany.

He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War era stationed in England.

Survivors include his brother, William McGeough of Menands; a niece, Stephanie McGeough and two nephews Sean and Patrick McGeough all of Denver, CO; his aunt, Betty Scanlon of Florida and a close family friend, Robert Hulett of Troy and several cousins. He was predeceased by his loving nephew, Kevin James McGeough.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 PM.

Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
