Isabella Agnes Montgomery Large, 88

Troy - Isabella Agnes Montgomery Large, 88,of Campbell Avenue, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Robert Montgomery and Margaret (Murray) Montgomery and wife of Wilson Large of Troy.

She had resided in Troy all her life and was educated at Troy High School.

Mrs. Large was a homemaker and for several years worked as a teachers aide at Troy Public School 10 and Doyle Middle School, retiring in 1984. During World War II, she was a welder in Long Island.

She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and a former member of Levings Methodist Church and a member, Deacon, Elder and choir member of the former Woodside Presbyterian Church. They summered at Methodist Farm on Crooked Lake in Averill Park.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, David W. (Elizabeth Distin) Large of Troy; a sister, Margaret (John) Wheeler of Barrington, RI; a grandson, Jeffrey David Spierre of Poestenkill; a granddaughter, Cheryl Lynn (Jay) McGlothlin of Poestenkill; two great grandchildren, Jeanine Morgan Spierre and William John McGlothlin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and John Montgomery.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. John McAuley, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM.

Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
