Irene Miller Wheeler, 83

Poestenkill - Irene Miller Wheeler, 83, of Luther Road East Greenbush died Sunday, April 05, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a long illness.

Born in Stephentown, she was daughter of the late Harry W. Miller and Caroline 'Lena' Engwer Miller and wife for 55 years of the late Everett C. 'Slim' Wheeler. She had resided in Poestenkill most of her life and was a graduate of Poestenkill schools and Troy High School.

Mrs. Wheeler was a seamstress for Standard Manufacturing in Lansingburgh, retiring many years ago.

She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Minnie Daniels, Mildred Fleming and Harriet Becker.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
