Helen F. Corrigan Wright, 88

Troy - Helen F. Corrigan Wright, 88, of Sixth Avenue Troy died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital Troy.

Born at Snyders Lake, she was daughter of the late William Corrigan and Elizabeth Leffler Corrigan and wife of the late John J. Wright. She was raised in Averill Park, resided in central Troy on Sixth Avenue and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Catholic Central High School, class of 1944.

Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and many years ago worked as an operator for the New York Telephone Company during 'VJ' Day.

As a devout Roman Catholic, she was a member of the Legion of Mary and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick's Church in Troy where she was an active communicant her entire life. She spearheaded the effort to rehabilitate the park on Ingles and Seventh in North Central Troy and was an avid NY Giants fan and season ticket holder.

Survivors include her devoted children, Geraldine (Michael) Flynn, Theresa (Edward) Breen, Brunswick, Susan (John) O'Brien, Speigletown, John T.(Patricia) Wright, Waterford, Anne (Gary) Keyrouze, Clifton Park and Eileen (James) Miner, Wynantskill; a sister, Margaret Corrigan, Troy; her beloved grandchildren, Michael (Heather) and Mark (Asher) Flynn, William (Andrea) Breen, Kathryn (William) Roberts, Christopher (Lauren), Daniel (Stefanie) and Janie Breen, John J. (Elizabeth) and Scott (Roni) O'Brien, Mary, John (Molly), Thomas (Rachael) and Robert Wright, Eric Keyrouze and Jordan, Jenna and Matthew Miner; her great grandchildren, Evan, Lilia, Declan, Evey and Jack Henry Flynn, Mia Rose Breen and Riley Lillian O'Brien and several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia K. Wright and a sister, Elizabeth Gelina.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 4-7PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10AM at the funeral home and at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.
