Helen C. (Batza) Lombardo

Loudonville - Helen Batza Lombardo died  on Friday Dec. 23  at the age of 89, following a brief illness. 

Born and raised in Watervliet, NY she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Batza. She attended Saint Basil Academy in Jenkintown, Pa. She was married for over 50 years to the love of her life, the late Anthony D. Lombardo. Mr Lombardo was a Troy businessman and co-owner of Mario's Theatre Restaurant in Troy, NY.

Helen is survived by her children, Dominic Lombardo (Robin) of Latham, Madeline (Robert) Pelletier of Nassau,and Celine Bowman (Bill) of East Greenbush. Also survived by her  8 grandchildren, David (fiancé, Lisa Carpinone) Lombardo, Mark and Michael Lombardo; Robert (Carissa) and John Paul (Susanna) Pelletier; Helena, Heather (Matt) Marshall, and Daniel (Kristel) Bowman.  Mrs Lombardo is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Helen  is survived by one sister Rene Seiler . She was pre-deceased by her other siblings Eva Nowak, Anita Joos, Julie Stranahan , Joan Willetts , Peter Batza, and Monsignor Joseph Batza.

Friends and family may call at Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM .  

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home.
 
Entombment at St Mary’s Mausoleum in Troy. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Hawthorne Ridge Memory Care Activities Department 32 Community Way East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Helen Lombardo.
