Hedwig L. 'Hedy' Barringer, 82

Troy - Hedwig L. 'Hedy' Barringer, 82, of Pawling Avenue Troy died Monday, March 23, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Sebastian Huber and Mathilda Maier Huber and wife of the late John Joseph Barringer. Hedy had resided in Pittstown and Troy all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy class of 1942.

She was a homemaker and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Hedy was an avid walker and loved gardening, reading and music.

Survivors include two daughters Sr. Linda Marie Barringer MMB of Liberty, MO and Sandra Jean Barringer of Latham; four sisters, Mary Beierschoder of Troy, Anna Butori of Massachusetts, Irma (Orville) Brock of Pittstown and Theresa (Donald) Temple of Troy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Huber.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30am at the Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas , Pastor, officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
