Hazel M. (Kneer) Weeden

Brunswick - Hazel M. Kneer Weeden, 93, of Moonlawn Road entered the peace of God’s heavenly kingdom Saturday, November 14, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Everett Kneer and Rosella Casey Kneer and wife of the late Harold E. Weeden. She had resided in the Troy and Brunswick areas all her life and was attended the Little Red School House in Clums Corners. 

Mrs. Weeden for 30 years worked as a Home Health Aide for Rensselaer County ARC and for 30 years prior worked at Cluett, Peabody & Company.  

She was an Avon Lady for 40 years, an active member of Gilead Lutheran Church and a former member of Prince of Peace in Clifton Park.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, care giving and socializing.    

Survivors include her children, Betty Martin, Troy, Carol Baker, Troy, Alton E. Weeden, Brunswick, Evelyn E. (John W. II) Grassmann, Brunswick and Lorraine J. (Rev. Wayne) Moritz, Harrisburg, PA; her grandchildren, Cynthia Martin, Cheryl Noble, Norman Martin, Charles F. Baker Jr., David S. Baker and Brian E. Baker, Krista  J. Tropea, Tina M., Dolores and Kimberly Weeden, Steven and Laura Grassmann, Rachel Hoffman and Christopher Moritz; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, Steven Weeden and siblings.

Relatives and friends may call at the Gilead Lutheran Church 308 Brick Church Rd, Routes 7 & 278 Center Brunswick on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at the CHURCH.

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
