Harry Topian, 70

Homer, NY Harry Topian, 70, of Fair Haven Road, died Monday at Cortland Memorial Hospital, Cortland, NY after a brief illness.

Born in Watervliet, he was son of the late Sahag and Margaret Sukasian Topian and fiancé of Marianne Lont of Homer. He had resided in Rochester since the late 1950's and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Topian was employed at Riverside Book Bindery in Rochester for 43 years retiring in 1999. Many years ago, he worked for Bryce Beverages in Troy.

He was a member of the Apollo Masonic Lodge in Troy and Leider Kranz Club in Rochester and a decorated Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors in addition to his fiancé include a brother, Anthony Topian (Rose) of Troy; several nieces and nephews, David Topian, Ed and Aram Kaprielian, Chris Kaprielian Jr, Margaret Ann Mayfield and the late Rosemary Krikorian and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Sara Kaprielian, Rose Topian and Nova Topian and a brother John Topian.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 11:00am from St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Topian to the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church 18 Church Street Moravia, NY 13118.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25th at 11am at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church 18 Church Street Moravia.
