Harold M. Bacheldor, 91

Troy - Harold M. Bacheldor, 91,of Seventh Avenue Lansingburgh, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Ivan Bacheldor and Theresa (Burns) Bacheldor and husband of the late Orpha J. Dunham Bacheldor.

He had resided in Troy most of his life and attended Troy High School.

Mr. Bacheldor was a bus driver for 45 years for the United Traction Company and later Capital District Transportation Authority retiring 22 years ago.

He was active as a boy scout leader in the 1950's and was a member of the transportation union. He enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by a son, Frederick H. (Joyce) Bacheldor of Kissimmee, FL; a daughter, Donna L. (Joseph) Nichols of Grafton; two grandchildren, Kimberly M. (Steve) Swasey of Waterford and Joseph E. (Lisa) Nichols Jr. of Gansevoort; three great grandchildren, Ricky and Ian Kennedy and Samuel Nichols and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ivan Bacheldor and a sister, Helen Dempsey.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 PM.

Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
