Gregory L. Nazarian, 74

Loudonville Gregory L. Nazarian, 74, of Burton Lane, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.

Born in Watertown, MA he was son of the late Levon and Juliette Levonian Nazarian and husband for 42 years of Hermine Guzelimian Nazarian. He had resided in Loudonville for the past 40 years and was educated at Watertown High School in Watertown, MA, class of 1946 and Oxford Business School of Business Administration in Cambridge, class of 1950.

Mr. Nazarian was part owner of the family business, Levonian Brother's in Troy from 1953 to present, holding various officer positions since 1970.

He was a past Trustee, Chaplain and Master of Apollo Masonic Lodge #13 F&AM in Troy, a member of the Oriental Temple AAONMS, a Deacon and Trustee of the First United Presbyterian Church of Troy, an Executive Board Governor of the Boy Scouts of America in Albany, a former President and board member of the Upper Fifteen Flying Club in Albany and a member of the Small Business Committee of the American Meat Institute in Washington, DC and the Advisory Board of Hudson Valley Community College. He was also a member of the Airplane Pilot's Association, the Q.B.'s (pilot's organization) in Albany and the Colonie Lodge of Elks in Latham. He was an Army veteran of the 40th Infantry Division serving in Japan and Korea during the Korean War.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Janet Nazarian of Fairfield, CT and Nancy Brogan (Patrick) of Franklin, MA; a son, Robert G. Nazarian of North Greenbush; two grandchildren, Casey and Tyler Brogan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Nazarian.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16th, at 12 noon from United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church Ninth and Eagle Streets Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. corner of Pawling Avenue at Maple Avenue Troy on Friday from 4-7pm.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Nazarian to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
