Gertrude B. Clickner, 85

Brunswick - Gertrude B. Clickner, 85, of Eagle Mills, died peacefully Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI in the presence of family members.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Paul Carl Burghardt and Catherine Kirchner Burghardt and wife of the late Kenneth Wagar Clickner. Upon graduation from Troy High School she was employed at General Electric, Schenectady. She and Kenneth married post WW II and resided in Brunswick. Mrs. Clickner was Assistant to the Assessor for the Town of Brunswick Assessors Office for 19 years.

She was an active and life long member of Faith Lutheran Church in Speigletown. Gertrude is most fondly remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend; and "the hostess with the mostess".

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Sue Henson of Gilbertsville, PA and Deborah Ann Clickner of Barrington, RI; two sons, Bryan Wesley Clickner of Goffstown, NH and Dean Carl Clickner of Troy; her grandchildren, Matthew-Ryan Henson of Burlington, Courtney Henson of Washington, Lindsay Henson of Gilbertsville, PA, Lauren Clickner of Barrington, RI and Meagan and Emily Clickner of Goffstown, NH and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Clickner.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church 50 Leversee Road Troy with Rev. Stephen Cordes, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 5-8 PM and at Faith Lutheran Church, Saturday, October 24, 2009 9:30 - 10:45 AM.

Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery.
