Gary Parnell, 64

Troy - Gary Parnell, 64, of O'Neil Street, Troy died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany after a long illness.

Born and raised in Troy, he was son of the late Leonard Parnell and Marie LaWare Parnell.

Mr. Parnell was employed as food service worker for Russell Sage for over 20 years. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam war.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Gilliland and her children John Dorr III and Fritz Dorr, his cousin, Lavern LaWare, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Eddie Parnell.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling AvenueTroy on Friday, from 12noon - 1PM, prior to the service.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Gary Parnell to the Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center 113 Holland Avenue Albany, NY 12203.
