Gladys Ruth Peck Messia, 86

Troy - Gladys Ruth Peck Messia, 86,of Troy, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Harris Peck and Zettie (Wheeler) Peck and wife of the late Gerald A. Messia.

She had resided in all her life in Troy, for many years on Pawling Avenue and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Ruth was a homemaker.

She was a Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary volunteer for 30 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Howard) Roquet of Chesterfield, VA and Susan Messia (Stanley) Wass of Milo, ME; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Peck and two sisters, Mildred Grace Peck and Bertha Seibert.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
