Frederick T. Green

Frederick T. Green, 93 Troy Frederick T. Green, 93, of Tibbits Avenue, died Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at Heritage House Nursing Center Troy, after a brief illness. Born in Troy, he was son of the late William and Edith Turner Green and husband of the late Evelyn M.H. Green. He had resided all his life in Troy and was a graduate of Troy High School and Amherst College. Mr. Green was personnel manager at Behr-Manning and later Norton Company in Watervliet for 38 years retiring in 1969. He was active in professional organizations and served on several boards of directors. He and his late wife were active in the RPI Skating Club and were avid boaters for many years. They liked to travel and made several round-the-world trips to visit students they had met while working with foreign students attending RPI. Survivors include three daughters Barbara H. Gearhardt and husband George J. of Guilderland, Carolyn T. Moazed and husband Khosrow L. of San Diego, CA and Susan E. LaGrande and husband Frank of Wappingers Falls, NY; 13 grandchildren, Janet Bastiani, Debra Castell, Donna Gearhardt, Peter and Richard Meyer, John Gearhardt, David and Stephen Moazed, Elizabeth Reed, Maryam Bason and Frank E. and Johanna and Sarah LaGrande; 15 great grandchildren and several cousins. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4PM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy. Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Green to the Vanderheyden Hall, Bessey Home 100 Spring Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
