Frank L. Roberts, 79

West Sand Lake - Frank L. Roberts, 79, of Cobb Hill Road died Saturday, May 02, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, he was son of the late Earl Roberts and Beatrice LaVallee Roberts and beloved husband of Frances Berasi Roberts. He had resided several years in West Sand Lake and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, the University of Chicago and earned a degree in Library Science from the State University of New York at Albany .

Mr. Roberts was employed as a programmer and systems analyst for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy and previously worked at General Electric in Pittsfield, MA.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a sister, Celia Conuel of Pittsfield, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
