Frank J. Gullie, 89

Brunswick Frank J. Gullie, 89, of Greene Street, died suddenly Friday at Samaritan Hospital Troy.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Abram and Mary Ferris Gullie and husband for 61 years of Mildred Cash Gullie. He had resided in the Troy area all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Gullie was a supervisor for General Baking for 20 years and Freihofer Baking for 12 years and worked in the accounting department at Troy Savings Bank for 22 years, retiring in November of 2001.

He was a member of the Commercial Travelers and inducted into the Hall Of Fame at the Troy Boys Club. He was an avid Yankees fan and an Army Infantry veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre and receiving 3 bronze stars.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, John Gulli and Scott Gullie and his wife Christie all of Brunswick; a brother, Robert Gullie of Cohoes; a sister, Felicia Schulze of Paulsbo, WA; a brother-in-law, Robert Cash of Syracuse; four grandchildren Russell Gulli of Schenectady and Ashlynne, Kara and Zachary Gullie of Brunswick; 6 nieces and 5 nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. John G. Rhinesmith, Pastor Emeritus of Hope United Methodist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-7pm. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie. Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Gullie to the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church Corner of 101st and Sixth Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
