Florence Welter Milos, 86

Altoona, PA - Florence Welter Milos, 86, of Burden Avenue Troy, died Thursday May 22, 2008 at Valley View Home in Altoona after an extended illness.

Born and raised in St. Joseph, MO, she was daughter of the late David Welter and Mammie (Chellew) Welter and wife of the late John Milos.

She resided in St. Joseph for 22 years and Troy most of her life and graduated from high school in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Milos was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Troy, a Deaconess, a member of the Women's Service Guild and the Troy Public School 12 PTA.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Brian) Amato of Hollidaysburg, PA and Carol Jean Milos of Troy; a sister Barbara (Robert) Sleicher of Dunedin, FL; two granddaughters, Amy (Ralph) Klonsky of Springfield, VA and Barbara Amato of Duncansville, PA; a great granddaughter, Isabella Klonsky and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Welter Jr and two sisters, Lorretta McCarty and Evelyn Bruce.

A memorial service will be held June 21 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church 82 Third Street Troy with Rev. Douglas Thomson, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
