Erma VanBuskirk Davis, 87

East Chatham, NY - Erma VanBuskirk Davis, 87, formerly of West Sand Lake died Friday, July 20, 2007 at Laurel Lake Nursing Home in Lee. MA after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Philip VanBuskirk and Eleanor (Carson) VanBuskirk and wife of the late Edward Davis.

She had resided 44 years in West Sand Lake and prior to that in Maplewood.

Mrs. Davis was a machine operator for Norton Company in Watervliet for 35 years, retiring in 1982.

She was a member of West Sand Lake Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake and the former West Sand Lake Methidost Church.

She is survived by a son, Ronald E. (Carolyn) Davis of East Chatham; a daughter, Linda Jean Uller of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, William VanBuskirk of Georgia; six grandchildren, Kimberly Ann (John Merchant) Hanna, Ronald E. (Kristin) Davis Jr., Timothy J. (Kristine) Davis, Eric Wess Uller, Joshua Davis Uller and Jason Edward Uller and four great-grandchildren, Thomas Christian Davis, John Williams Hanna, Jacob William Davis and Genevieve Davis Hanna. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Eleanor Peetz, Phyllis Harder, Marion Bashandt, Edith Hammond and Frederick and Kenneth VanBuskirk

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11-12 noon prior to the service.

Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Davis to the Salem United Methodist Church Shaver Road PO Box 475 West Sand Lake, NY 12196.
