To all Family Members,
I believe Uncle Willie was my Grandfather's (Peter Goedtel) nephew. I loved going down the street and visiting Aunt Elsbeth and Uncle Willie even though they were cousins we always called them Aunt and Uncle. Elsbeth was some cook!!!. I've visited with Marty at my sister's house in Dallas within the past few years. All the pictures bring back so many great memories! You are all in me thoughts and prayers
Love,
Lynn Orchard Bryan

My heartfelt condolences to the family. I just received notice that Erl had passed. It was such a good trip down memory lane to watch the video ... Erl surely made the most of his time here on Earth! I remember well having spent a weekend at the house on the lake ... it was an awesome time for me when I most needed a place to "heal" from my own personal issues. Thank you, Erl. Rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to the family members of Erl, my dear cousin, and whom I haven’t seen in decades.
As a child growing up in our immigrant families, I have fond memories of sharing the wonderful German food your mother (my Tante Elsie) prepared at Holidays, going to the movies with you and your sister in downtown Troy and our summer family get-togethers in Averill Park.
The memories, so pleasant to remember.
🌹Peace to you, Erl, wherever you are - and keep on i n v e n t i n g.

Hello I believe I may have met some of you once or twice I hadn't seen your dad for many years but I met many of his acquaintances and it is a great loss that I hadn't got back to see him but one time thirty years ago I had just gotten to know my father I grew up without him and oddly I was joking with your dad about an old wooden water ski had, he said to me so that skib that ski we are in the Guinness book of records with all the way down to New York from Troy and I said really did you know John more by any chance and he said to me John Moore he was with me! I had only recently found out that my father had been president of the NYS down hill skiers association and a judge on the Olympics I did not know him I only met him once or twice in my life your father was a very welcoming and gracious man and I am in his debt for many a grand time on Crooked Lake, and he helped fill a big hole for me with that story thank you,t duly Shan
