West Sand Lake - Elsie May Nobes, 81, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Evergreen Commons with her loving husband and family by her side.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was daughter of the late Henry Follmer and Daisy Simmons Follmer and loving wife of Benedict ‘Ben’ Nobes. 

Survivors in addition to her loving husband include a son, Benedict (Lynn Kocik) Nobes, Grafton; two daughters, Gail (Paul) Belles, Averill Park and Donna (John) DeMaria, East Greenbush; her beloved grandchildren, Nick Nobes, Grafton, Angie (Ed) Francis, Averill Park, Lindsay (Kevin) Boutot, Watervliet, Darcy DeMaria, East Greenbush and John (Aliscia Warman) DeMaria, Troy; and her cherished great granddaughter, Meya Francis. She was predeceased by her son, Michael 'Mike' Nobes; her grandson, Joshua Ray, a sister, Pauline 'Polly' Ramage, and several nieces and nephews.

Elsie's family would like to give special thanks to the Sand Lake Ambulance, Samaritan Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital staffs and especially the compassionate, caring staff at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home, 2 Wynantskill Way, who laughed, cried, and were always there for Elsie and her family throughout her recent illness.    

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery West Sand Lake.
