Hildegard: Every time we came up to Troy, your family's hospitality was very much appreciated by our family. Unfortunately we could not make it up from Florida with such short notice. We hope to see you in the near future.

I had known Elmer from the 1980's when we worked together at Advest, Inc.; followed by our tenures at First Albany Corp. and Janney Montgomery Scott. He was a terrific man and a good friend to me. My condolences go out to Hildegard, his children and the rest of his family. I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

Elmer was a great guy, always a ready smile, willing to help, a cheery greeting as he passed by my desk in the Emma Willard library. I know he will win sorely missed by everyone.

I had the privilege of working with Elmer both at First Albany Corporation and Janney Montgomery Scott for several years. It was a pleasure and we have missed him since his retirement. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family at this time.
