Elizabeth Tashjian, 98

Troy - Elizabeth Tashjian, 98,of Thompson Street, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy.

Born in Troy in the homestead in which she resided, she was the daughter of the late Musroob John Tashjian Sr and Satanig (Patanian) Tashjian.

She had resided in Troy all her life and attended Troy Schools and Troy High School.

She was a member of the Birchkill Society. Elizabeth devoted her life to caring for her family.

She is survived by her brothers, Jack S. Tashjian, Sr. of Troy and M. John Tashjian of Castleton; her sister, Anna Mae Mourachian of North Providence, RI and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph J. Tashjian Sr. and George H. Tashjian Sr. and a sister, Mary A. Tashjian.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Dr. James Mosher, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 PM.

Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth Tashjian to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204 for her love of animals.
