Elizabeth J. 'Liz' Sliter, 78

North Greenbush - Elizabeth J. 'Liz' Sliter, 78, of Glenwood Road died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her residence in North Greenbush after a long illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Clarence C. Sliter and Adriana Hendricks Sliter. She resided in the same home in North Greenbush all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1953.

Miss Sliter was an account manager at the New York Telephone Company for 37 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of the Blooming Grove Reformed Church, New York Telephone Pioneers of America, a volunteer with the American Red Cross and a trustee and treasurer of the Blooming Grove Rural Cemetery. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved to travel.

Survivors include two sisters, Beverly A. Sliter and Lorraine J. Sliter, both of North Greenbush and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Clarence Charles Sliter Jr. She is survived by her dear friend, Trudy Philipp.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 3- 6 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. James Hart Brumm, officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Grove Rural Cemetery Defreestville.

The family wishes to sincerely thank her care givers, Betty, June and Jeannette.
