Center Brunswick - Eleanor F. Booth Stannard, 89, of Elaine Court Latham and formerly of Center Brunswick died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at her residence in Latham after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, NY, she was daughter of the late Francis and Fannie Bitley Booth and wife of the late Kenneth H. Stannard. She was raised in Troy and resided in Brunswick for 70+ years and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Mrs. Stannard worked for the Unemployment Division of the New York State Department of Labor for several years, retiring in the late 1980's.
She was a member of the Palestine Star Chapter #167 Order of the Eastern Star, Cyrene Temple #18 Daughters of the Nile and a member of Center Brunswick United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Stannard, Troy; two sons, John (Emerita) Stannard, Vero Beach, FL and Jeff (Debra Cole) Stannard, Latham; four grandchildren, Tina (Brendan) Ryan, Todd (Amy) Stannard, Krista (Bryan) Zajesky and Katie (Michael) Ricci and seven great grandchildren, Samantha, Elizabeth and Allen Drescher, Hannah and Cole Zajesky and Cooper and Breeah Stannard and two sisters, Marion Morse, Pittstown and Shirley Wachtel, Averill Park and Hudson, FL
At Eleanor’s request, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to the the funeral service which will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:30am at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Joy Lowenthal, Pastor of Center Brunswick United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be at 1pm Wednesday at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Eleanor F. Stannard to the Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104.
