Eleanor E. Miller, 93

Ballston Spa - Eleanor E. Miller, 93, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Maplewood Manor Ballston Spa after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Harry I. Miller and Susan Smith Miller and wife of the late John Henry Miller Jr. and Howard Sharp. She had resided in Center Brunswick and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and later was employed as a sandpaper machinist for Behr-Manning in Watervliet for many years.

She was an honorary member of the American Legion Post #1450 Halfmoon and was at one time chaplain for the legion. She was a member of the singing group of Halfmoon Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Howard W. Sharp, Catskill; a daughter, Letha S. (Frank) Placzkowski, Buffalo; her grandchildren, Lori (Michael) Patrick and Amy (Joseph) Manna; her great grandchildren, Krystie Patrick and Andrew, Caroline and Joseph Manna; a sister-in-law, Jane Miller, Troy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Winston Miller and a cousin Carolyn Rose.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday from 9-10 AM. Funeral service will follow at 10 AM with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
