Eleanor R. Dippold Hastings , 87

East Greenbush Eleanor R. Dippold Hastings , 87 ,of East Greenbush and formerly of West Sand Lake died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late George Dippold and the late Anna (Krause) Dippold. and wife of the late Donald C. Hastings.

She was raised in Latham and had resided in Daytona Beach, Florida for 6 years, West Sand Lake from 1951-96, Castleton for 4 years and in East Greenbush since 2000 and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Hastings many years ago worked at the Credit Bureau in Troy.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan Slattery (Stuart) of Nassau and Dianne Levering (Lee) of Lecanto, FL; four grandchildren, Susan Slattery of Hinsdale, MA., Scott Slattery of West Sand Lake, Mark Anderson of Atlanta, GA and Jennifer Wing of Davie, FL; two great granddaughters, Micayla and Macenzie Slattery and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, George and Carl Dippold and a sister, Ruth LaRose.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
