Effie Krikorian Akullian, 84

Loudonville - Effie Krikorian Akullian, 84, of Newcomb Drive died Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Greece, she was wife of Joseph Akullian. She moved to the Troy area in 1952 from Greece and had resided in Loudonville since 1984.

Mrs. Akullian was a homemaker and loved doing needlepoint.

She loved cooking, flowers, sewing, painting. She could do just about anything.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her siblings, Roston, Krikor and Bedros Krikorian, all of Greece and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, officiating.

Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Effie Akullian to St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church PO BOX 196 Watervliet, NY 12189.
