Edward Sagendorf, 70

Troy - Edward Sagendorf, 70, of 114th Street North Troy died Monday, February 23, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center Pittsfield, MA after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Wayman L. Sagendorf and Marie Engwer Sagendorf. He had resided in West Sand Lake for many years.

Ed operated, with his father and mother, The Greens Man, a wholesale greens distributor.

He was involved in many cycle tours, biking from Troy to Lake George often and in several cycling clubs. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Survivors include two brothers, Wayman 'Sonny' (Cheryl) Sagendorph of Lumberton, NC and Tim Sagendorf of Schaghticoke and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie A. 'Sis' Callahan and 2 brothers, Thomas Francis and Robert Daniel Sagendorf.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 6:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. John McAuley , Pastor of Third Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4- 6 PM. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
